Made of sublimely nuanced white flower agate and an antique amulet, this handknotted mala is one of a kind.
White flower agate offers that quiet inner peace and spiritual connection that somehow seems more accessible in these cold winter months. Reminiscent of a snowy day, these beautifully faceted beads are mostly white in color, exquisitely translucent, with dark details appearing like tree branches across the winter landscape.
Pictured on the amulet is the walking Buddha, signifying the time the Buddha spent after his enlightenment, walking amongst the people, teaching the middle way. When the walking Buddha imagery first appeared in 13th century Thailand, it was considered quite radical. Up until this point, the Buddha had always been depicted seated in meditation or standing, shown to have god-like and king-like qualities. The walking Buddha was revolutionary in that it emphasized his more human qualities. His left hand is raised in the Abhaya mudra, a gesture of reassurance. It serves as a beautiful reminder that the divine is no so very far away.
white flower agate: inner peace + spiritual connection
The Magic of Winter collection is inspired by icy, muted hues, nourishing energies, and quiet introspection. This winter has me especially enchanted. I find myself diving deep into this restful energy. Crisp mornings and warm beverages. Visioning, prior to the plotting and the planning, that slow percolation. Nesting and resting. Reading just for fun. Staring out the window. This collection was born in these small, sweet, nourishing moments.
Each piece is handcrafted with love to remind you of the magic within you + all around you.
